Welcome to The Diabetes Ray of Hope Foundation website!

Diabetes is one of the most serious public health issues of our time, affecting millions of people worldwide. In fact, the number of those suffering from all types of diabetes has skyrocketed from 30 million to 230 million people in the last two decades making it one of the most rapidly-growing epidemics in the world.

Here at the Diabetes Ray of Hope we want a cure, plain and simple. And we’re getting closer and closer every day with the advancement of research by folks like Dr. Denise Faustman (check out a great interview here) and the recent lifting of some restrictions on stem-cell research. In the meantime, scientific and technological advances, such as The Artificial Pancreas Project through the JDRF, are taking us one step closer to better quality of life, and eventual eradication of diabetes. For now, we are filled with hope that a cure will happen in our lifetime.
